Monday, December 29th get back into the gym for the day and play VOLLEYBALL. Fort Bend Fire is promising another great JINGLE BELL CLINIC. Players will be grouped by ability and experience level. The whole day will be run by our top FBF coaches. This is the perfect day for you to be at Slaters Sports Zone and prepare for holiday practices!

MORNING WORKOUT: Our FBF coaching staff will conduct a morning clinical session. To include but not limited to all skills and drill execution. Core work on repetition, hustle and movement!

Bring your lunch for a mid-day break!

AFTERNOON WORKOUT: After a fast paced and high energy morning, it’s time to play! We will have
competitive team placement and different types of games. All players will be reminded of rules, court
management, and TEAMWORK.

6th grade – 12th grade – Intermediate/Advanced Players

General Info

Each member must sign up on-line individually. We will accept up to 10 walk-in registrations. This is going to be a great clinic so register EARLY.
All sessions will be instructed by FBF Coaches affording them up to date volleyball techniques.
Participants are grouped according to ability.
Participants must have a SSZ Waiver.
Registration fees collected are non-refundable/non-transferable.
Registration fees will not be prorated.
Missed dates due to late registration, illness, school events, personal events or acts of nature are forfeited.

As in the past we have reasonable entry fees of $295 per tournament, and competitive volleyball all under one roof. Slaters Sports Zone has 8 courts, a cafe area, picnic space for tents, and plenty of parking. For officiating we still include an R1 for age groups 11s - 14s.

HOW DOES A CLUB JOIN AAU: A club will join as an annual Level 1 Membership, that cost is a total of $30.00 for the year.   Your club players will register as AAU Members for $14.00 each and your club coaches will register as Members for $16.00 each.  This link will get you started:

Read about our Club Director, Phil Nickel

Phil is the Fort Bend Fire Club Director and oversee all Program Operations. We are excited  for his leadership and direct impact on the club.  Phil is a native of Ohio, graduating from the University of Cincinnati with an Engineering Degree.  As a Men's Volleyball player his background also lends itself to Club Volleyball and  NCAA College coaching and recruiting at Division's I, II, and III.  Phil has served on the NCAA Division II Region Advisory Committee, is a member of the AVCA, and served as AVCA's  representative for the Assistant Coaches Committee and Co-Chaired their Professional Development Sub Committee.

Phil's goals will bring Fort Bend Fire to an entirely new style of competitive play.  His experiences with coaching, recruiting and knowledge of volleyball are a terrific combination.  Most importantly player instruction and technique are areas of Phil's expertise.

Phil and his wife, Michelle, have two sons, Trey and Zackary, along with a daughter, Kaia.  They reside in the Katy community.  We are excited  for a great club season.
